Up for auction is an absolutely incredible vintage Oriental carved cherry amber Bakelite box. This is expertly carved of deep translucent red Bakelite. The detail is fantastic throughout the piece. The top features a scene of a bearded Asian man holding up a stick. Next to him is a deer and above is a stylized bat or bird. All around the sides have detailed carved floral panels. It measures about 4" by 3-1/4" by 1-5/8" and is in excellent condition. The bottom has generous table tear, if you look close you can see how it has been hand-worked. Some very small flee bite edge wear (see photos). I have not cleaned this piece so it still has a little dust. It tests positive on simichrome paste. Also has the expected smell from rubbing a finger. This stunning carved cherry amber Bakelite box is next level on the rarity scale and is guaranteed to please. PAYMENT:
We will send out an invoice with checkout instructions at the end of the auction. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction closing.
FEES:
We collect 7% for tax if you live in the State of Indiana. Most items have no handling fees, but please expect additional charges for very large items which require us to purchase special boxes for a safe shipment. We like to use USPS Priority mail, and FedEx for large items. We will always automatically combine items to save you money on the shipping!
SHIPPING:
We ship internationally and will work with you. Use the shipping calculator to find your shipping cost. If an item is not insured there will be no refund issued for loss or damaged items.
DELIVERY:
Your item will be shipped with in 3 days after payment is received. If you need faster shipping than this just let me know.
REFUNDS and RETURNS:
Refunds must be approved, we are not a retail store. We auction at no reserve and we provide several large photos and extensive details about the items condition. If we honestly miss damage - then we will accept the item back within 3 days of receipt. There will be no refund for any broken, uninsured items. You must contact us first.
