8" x 10" in about 1870 J.B. Silvas, photographer, went into a partnership with Union Pacific Railroad...he had his own caboose fixed up as a photography studio with everything one would need for a successful business. It was and so other railroads began to copy his business plan...in 1891 Boston Railroad did just that and sent a 4 man team of photographers out West thru their southern route into California...not sure how long it lasted but they took a LOT of photos. I'm not sure what this one represents...a sampler? a group of employees? Anyway, suffice it to say that it is an AWESOME piece of railroad photography memorabilia...RARE Circa 1891 CABINET Card Photo~"BOSTON RAILROAD PHOTOGRAPH CAR"~Calif TRIP~
