This is a newer slot car set. The 1:43 scale cars are fast and difficult to control. It requires skill to operate the cars or they will come flying off the track. If you are the type that will be frustrated that you have to have the patience to gain experience and learn to control these cars, this may not be the right set for you. For example, most folks indicate the cars run best when the drivers use between 25 and 75 percent of the throttle speed. You have to learn how to keep them on the track just like real racing.
