1971 Norton

Nice original 1971 Norton 750 Commando in good running condition and is currently registered on the road in my name. Regretfully selling due to another bike purchase that I need to pay off.
This bike is all original except for a custom 1970's paint job that includes real glitter embedded in the paint and then clear coated it to preserve it. It looks groovy man!
750cc twin with 4 speed transmission. If you have never ridden a Norton Commando, let me tell you that they were light years ahead of BSA and Triumph of the same era, especially concerning the rubber mounted engine and frame design.
I rebuilt the rubber isolastics to mount the motor and also rebuilt the swingarm with new bushings. The top end of the motor is rebuilt including new valves and seats. There are no oil or gas leaks. The Amal carbs were replaced with brand new Amal carbs using the original airbox and a new filter. New battery, older tires that have decent tread and hold air. Exhaust headers are brand new, mufflers are the originals (One has corrosion on the inside on the chain side. There are a couple dings and small dents in the fenders and headlight but nothing unsightly. The speedometer needle does not move but the odometer still works. The tach works but has cracked glass on it. The lights work and the brakes work great. The clutch operates smoothly and the transmission shifts through all the gears with the ease of a click.
